I've decided to come back to Blogger-- my daily routine in life makes it far too difficult to update my blog through manual code manipulation. *le sigh* Oh well. On the bright side (as if using a "click and go" program was a bad thing), I've decided to take a slightly different approach to blogging. As of late, my blog posts have been longer and more "diary-like", and sometimes take on an academic role. I'd like to make my posts more structured, grammatically correct, and more like an essay in the idea that my posts have a specific point to make, rather than just have me rambling on about life.
That's starting with the next post though-- I don't have the energy to do that right now, because as per my new Fall tradition, I am sick. Everybody has been getting sick at school and someone felt so kind as to share it with me as well. I'm handling it well, I think; I try to get as much work done as I can, and when I can't work, I stop and sleep or do something else. I've gone through 2 chapters of Psychology today, which is a lot. I have a midterm on Monday, so that's the main reason for my speedy reading. Speaking of midterms, I have a bunch this coming week; Psych on Monday, a paper due Wednesday, and another midterm on Thursday.
I am still eating raw or mostly raw-- I go through a heck of a lot of produce each week. I'm almost all out, and I'll be shopping tomorrow with my roomie (aka my cousin!) so I'll pick up more groceries on the way back.
I picked up running long distances in June for the Underwear Affair. I remember a time when doing 3K seemed like a huge accomplishment. Now, anything less than 5K is failure to me! I was doing about 7-8K twice a week for a while, so I think I've come a long way. I ran 6.75K on Monday at the gym, and I would've gone today if I wasn't sick.
I still do yoga from time to time-- I must've tried doing yoga like 10x this year, and I've come to the conclusion that I can do yoga, but not on a daily basis. For me, that would be too hard on the spine (I do Kundalini yoga), so I think 1-2x/week is enough, maybe 3. The only thing is that Yoga does require time to complete (usually 45-90 minutes) so I usually favor running instead. But given my current circumstances, I'd rather do something less intense. (But mark my words, as soon as I am able, I'm hopping back on that treadmill!)
Anywhoodles... I am going to go now.
