I canceled my Grad Photo session for Friday -- I decided that I'm just not feeling it right now. I need to be in a photogenic mood; I know it sounds like a dumb reason for canceling, but really, I think it'd be better in Winter term.
The Fall exam schedule went up, and I'm quite fortunate this time around; I usually have an exam on the first day, somewhere in the middle, and then one very close to the end. This time:
Engl 140R: no exam
Kin 354: Dec 14, 9 am
HRM 200: Dec 14, 7:30 pm
Psych 211: Dec 19, 9 am
So even though I have 2 on the same day, they aren't that bad. And the only exam that is cumulative this term is Kin 354, so that's awesome.
I don't know if I already mentioned it on here, but I found an amazing Yoga resource a few months ago where you can download classes (20-minute ones are free, and other lengths are extremely reasonably priced; at most, $5 for a class). These are very much like being in an actual yoga session, rather than watching someone else do their yoga and you try to follow; there is useful instruction and insight, and a useful pose guide as well. The website is http://yogadownload.com and even though I found this website last term, I forgot about it for a while until recently. It's so good for stretching out the lower body (hamstrings!) and strengthening the whole body. It's definitely challenging, but a great workout for people who are short on time, and don't fancy jumping, punching, and kicking in their living room.
Every couple of weeks I try to bring in new things into my diet. Last week I introduced Goji Berries to my palate, and it was great! I don't know how to explain Goji Berries; they're little tiny red things, almost like raisins, but drier, and are loaded with vitamin A, C, iron, and protein. They taste a little tart and sweet at the same time, and are great sprinkled on salads. This week, I'm trying out raw pumpkin seeds sprinkled on salads. They remind me very much of sunflower seeds, but flatter, and drier. Pumpkin seeds are also a great source of protein and iron. Mushrooms aren't something new to me, but I never really used them raw in salads, so I also started doing that as well.
Other than that, same old, same old...
